GEP provide superior filtration for rainwater harvesting, overcoming typical maintenance issues. They ensure catchment rainwater remains clean and your storage tanks for rainwater protected from contamination. Separating dirt and debris, Trident™ stormwater and rainwater filter can seamlessly accompany existing rainwater harvesting systems or be integrated with new designs for the ultimate rainwater management system. The Trident™ rainwater filtration system works by using several key technologies. Filter Grill: Water passes over the tilted, triangular shaped grill. This allows for a rapid separation of waste and clean rainwater, ensuring maximum return.Fine Filter Bag: Filtered rainwater passes through the Trident™ rainwater filter grill and falls into the rainwater catchment tank. The optional inclusion of a filter mesh bag can filter particles down to 10 µm. (Option)
Nozzle: Trident™ rainwater filters can be supplied with special cleaning nozzles. This will allow for automated cleaning of the rainwater filter grill, increasing the long-term efficiency of the rainwater harvesting system and reducing maintenance. (Option)
Overflow: The slight drop between supply and discharge allows for easier post filter installation. It also allows for the inclusion of overflow skimming designs, removing the thin layer of contaminants that float on the surface of the rainwater in the rainwatertank.
Accessories: There are other attachments that can increase the lifetime efficiency of the rainwater harvesting system including rodent valves and floating extraction valves. Each inclusion is designed to maximise the potential of the rainwater harvesting system.
With a wide range of Trident™ tank filters, Trident rainwater tankfilters are flexible to suit all concrete or poly rainwater storage tanks.
Rainwater filtration for rainwater harvesting via horizontal stainless steel filter grid. Installation Trident™ rainwater tankfilter within rainwater storage tank or separate filter manhole. This commercial Trident™ rainwater filter has been developed to be used in medium to large size rainwater harvesting systems. The highly efficient filtration process via horizontal stainless steel filter grid with optimised profile ensures maximum rainwater collection rate and rainwater filter efficiency, passive self-cleaning and optimal non-potable water quality in the rainwater storage tank. This produces precious, hygienic and soft rainwater for gardens, washing machines, toilet supply as well as for numerous industrial and commercial applications, e.g. water for cooling towers, car/lorry washing or other process water where rainwater usage is clearly of advantage.
Leaves and the majority of particles are retained on the grid until the self-cleaning process starts. The construction and the dimensions of the stainless steel grid of the rainwater filter make a high collection rate of up to 99% possible.
The rainwater filter grid should be located below the maximum water level of the rainwater tank. If the rainwater storage tank overflows, the Trident™ rainwater filter will be under water and the floatable dirt will be transferred into the surface water drainage system. Remaining debris, encrusted dirt and bio film will be removed from the stainless steel grid of the rainwater filter by the sprinklers. The sprinklers can be connected to the rainwater harvesting system and their water spray direction can be adjusted. This improves the self-cleaning effect of the Trident™ rainwater filter.
