GEP provide superior filtration for rainwater harvesting, overcoming typical maintenance issues. They ensure catchment rainwater remains clean and your storage tanks for rainwater protected from contamination. Separating dirt and debris, Trident™ stormwater and rainwater filter can seamlessly accompany existing rainwater harvesting systems or be integrated with new designs for the ultimate rainwater management system. The Trident™ rainwater filtration system works by using several key technologies. Filter Grill: Water passes over the tilted, triangular shaped grill. This allows for a rapid separation of waste and clean rainwater, ensuring maximum return.Fine Filter Bag: Filtered rainwater passes through the Trident™ rainwater filter grill and falls into the rainwater catchment tank. The optional inclusion of a filter mesh bag can filter particles down to 10 µm. (Option)
Nozzle: Trident™ rainwater filters can be supplied with special cleaning nozzles. This will allow for automated cleaning of the rainwater filter grill, increasing the long-term efficiency of the rainwater harvesting system and reducing maintenance. (Option)
Overflow: The slight drop between supply and discharge allows for easier post filter installation. It also allows for the inclusion of overflow skimming designs, removing the thin layer of contaminants that float on the surface of the rainwater in the rainwatertank.
Accessories: There are other attachments that can increase the lifetime efficiency of the rainwater harvesting system including rodent valves and floating extraction valves. Each inclusion is designed to maximise the potential of the rainwater harvesting system.
With a wide range of Trident™ tank filters, Trident rainwater tankfilters are flexible to suit all concrete or poly rainwater storage tanks.
Rainwater filtration for rainwater harvesting via horizontal stainless steel filter grid. Installation Trident™ rainwater tankfilter within rainwater storage tank or separate filter manhole. This commercial Trident™ rainwater filter has been developed to be used in medium to large size rainwater harvesting systems. The highly efficient filtration process via horizontal stainless steel filter grid with optimised profile ensures maximum rainwater collection rate and rainwater filter efficiency, passive self-cleaning and optimal non-potable water quality in the rainwater storage tank. This produces precious, hygienic and soft rainwater for gardens, washing machines, toilet supply as well as for numerous industrial and commercial applications, e.g. water for cooling towers, car/lorry washing or other process water where rainwater usage is clearly of advantage.
Leaves and the majority of particles are retained on the grid until the self-cleaning process starts. The construction and the dimensions of the stainless steel grid of the rainwater filter make a high collection rate of up to 99% possible.
The rainwater filter grid should be located below the maximum water level of the rainwater tank. If the rainwater storage tank overflows, the Trident™ rainwater filter will be under water and the floatable dirt will be transferred into the surface water drainage system. Remaining debris, encrusted dirt and bio film will be removed from the stainless steel grid of the rainwater filter by the sprinklers. The sprinklers can be connected to the rainwater harvesting system and their water spray direction can be adjusted. This improves the self-cleaning effect of the Trident™ rainwater filter.
Read moreYou want to be sure that the rainwater is clean before you can use it in your residence. Therefor, GEP has developed rainwater filters based on Trident filter technology. This technology ensures that the dirt particles are seperated from the rainwater before it is stored in the rainwater storage tank. With a Trident rainwater filter you are guaranteed of pure and clean rainwater ready to be used. The Trident rainwater filter can be installed before the rainwater storage tank in the ground. The Trident pre-tank filter has a high level of filtering efficiency due to its special filtergrid, see here for more information about the Trident Technology. The Trident Pre-tankfilter 325 is frost resistant and self cleaning – which mean there is little maintenance work needed. To maintain: stainless steel filter insert is easily removed for cleaning and does not have to be changed. The cleaned rainwater can be stored in a rainwater storage tank and used in washing machines, toilet flushing and garden watering, in homes, in commerce, in public buildings and in industry. The rainwater filter has to be cleaned depending on the contamination 1 – 2 times during the year.
Read moreBefore you want to use rainwater in industrial buildings, you want to make sure that the rainwater is clean. GEP has developed rainwater filters for this purpose based on Trident & trade; filter technology. This technology ensures that dirt particles are separated from the rainwater before the clean rainwater is stored in the tank. The pre-tank filters for rainwater are designed to be installed in front of a rainwater tank or rainwater citern, so underground or above ground, in front of the rainwater tank. With a Trident & trade; rainwater filter you are assured of pure and clean rainwater before use.

Read moreGEP fine filters are intended for rainwater systems where rainwater, after pre-filtration, can be used for washing machine, garden and toilet flushing. The fine filters are placed in the pressure pipe after the pump system, so NOT in the suction pipe of the rainwater pump. Fine filters filter the tiny particles out of the water. The filter cartridge is dismountable and very easy to clean or replace, with a check valve. Filter is quick and easy to inspect via transparent, UV-tight impact-resistant filter housing. In addition, there is also a version that is also equipped with an active carbon pattern. This Trio fine filter for the use of rainwater offers a high quality filter quality in both organic and particle filtration. The TRIO consists of 3 components that provide optimum protection: first filter for a pre-filtering of 90μm (washable cartridge), second filter with a finer filtration of 25μm, third filter for an even finer final filtration of 10μm, including active carbon element that odor and remove color from the rainwater.
Read moreThe biofilter functions on a biological basis. The filtration process at the Biofilter takes place in several steps. The Biofilter initially cleans rainwater through sedimentation. The inorganic particles in the rainwater settle thanks to the gentle feed operation. In addition to sedimentation, this quiet supply also provides an enrichment of the water with oxygen. This strengthens the biological cleaning. The specially designed filter housing creates a biological balance with a strong cleaning effect. In the Biofilter, a sedimentation layer forms that supports and strengthens biological processing. Organic particles are broken down and mineralized. Components have been built into the Biofilter to ensure optimal operation of biological cleaning with oxygen. The Biofilter copies, as it were, the natural cleansing of water as it happens in nature.
